The Yoga Effect: Boost Your Mood

Wake up to spring and welcome a new season with less of the stress, depression, and anxiety that can sabotage your inner energy. Based on two studies conducted at Boston University, co-authored by Liz Owen and published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, you’ll learn new ways to change your mood and adjust your emotional mindset with yoga techniques you can use anytime & anywhere. This workshop will include a brief introduction to the science/philosophy supporting emotional healing followed by a yoga practice incorporating centering meditation, breath work, active and restorative yoga poses, therapeutic deep relaxation and coherent breathing. All levels welcome.
