PJ Library Celebrates an Indian Tu B'Shevat

Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish Birthday of the Trees is often celebrated by eating fruits and trying new foods. Hear a story about Tu'B'Shevat and then meet Shulie Madnick, from the Bene Israel Indian Jewish Community. Shulie will tell us what the prophet Elijah has to do with Tu B'Shevat and how to make Malida, a simple no-cook food offering for Elijah, similar to "rice pudding" with cardamom and fruits. Cost: $10/family Instructions on how to make a flower garland from household recyclables to wear for the occasion, a 6-ingredient shopping list, and a zoom link will be provided after registration.
